Your tribe…

If you find yourself having to tiptoe around others you’re not walking amongst your tribe. ~ author unknown

Sometimes we try so hard to fit in with a certain group of people.

But no matter how hard we try and how much effort we make, we just don’t quite fit as well as we want to.

They are just not our tribe.

So if you are creeping around like you are walking on egg shells or you feel like you have to tip toe around your friends, maybe you are not really amongst your real tribe of people.

Your real tribe would be loyal and accepting and allowing of you to be yourself.

They would appreciate you and be thankful for you and your personal attributes.

If you keep practicing them, they become habits.

It may not be easy to change your bad habits into good habits, but it is possible.

We often spend the first three quarters

of our life collecting more and more things

and the last quarter of our life trying to get rid of

all those things that we didn’t really need anyway.

 

Make sure you are spending your time

Oh boy…

Oh boy…


AS I GET OLDER I REALIZE:

  1. I talk to myself, because sometimes I need expert advice.
  2. Sometimes I roll my eyes out loud.
  3. I don’t need anger management.  I need people to stop pissing me off.
  4. My people skills are just fine.  It’s my tolerance of idiots that needs work.
  5. The biggest lie I tell myself is “I don’t need to write that down, I’ll remember it.”
  6. When I was a child I thought nap time was punishment.  Now it’s like a mini vacation.
  7. The  day the world runs out of wine is just too terrible to think about.
  8. Even duct tape can’t fix stupid, but it can muffle the sound.
  9. Wouldn’t it be great if we could put ourselves in the dryer for ten minutes; come out wrinkle-free and three sizes smaller?
  10. “Getting Lucky” means walking into a room and remembering why I’m there.

Some of these are actually things that are real and close to my heart, while others are meant to be lighthearted and funny.

Sometimes the best thing to do is to lighten up and laugh at ourselves because

LIFE  IS  REAL.

And it doesn’t always go the way we planned it.

In fact it rarely does.

Otherwise we wouldn’t have any lessons to learn or any clarity to gain.

But through the trials in life we are able to redefine and refine the things that we do want and to get rid of the things that don’t resonate with us any more.

And it’s the same for people.

Some acquaintances seemed so important at the time and now they make you wonder what you could have possibly been thinking of to be with that person at all.

But then again, we all have lessons to learn and grow from.

Change is a part of life.  We start out wanting one thing, and often when we get it, we no longer want it.  Or we have changed so much that we are looking for something else now, usually something more.

That is just natural human growth.

And hopefully you are growing and changing for the better.

Refining your life to include:

  • Better friends
  • More love
  • More joy
  • A better life
  • More wealth
  • More happiness
  • A loving family
  • Better health
  • More peace
  • More fun

At least these are some of the things I welcome into my life these days.

Appreciating what I have while seeking more.

Working for more.  Planning for more. Desiring even more.

Changing old ways of thinking into newer ways that are “allowing” rather than restricting.

Wanting the world to be a better place for all.

Starting with

myself and making

my world

a better place

by becoming

even MORE

every day.

Raise your vibration…

Raise your vibration…

 

There are other ways of raising your vibration than meditation, like listening to music that makes your heart sing, jog in a beautiful place, petting your cat, walking your dog, and so on.

You’re often in the highest state of connection to the energy source while you’re driving your vehicle.

Your goal is to release any thought that’s causing you resistance, so then you’re in a place of pure, positive thinking.

Just find any thought that feels good when you think about it, and practice it until you start setting the tone inside of you – and then, other good feeling thoughts will follow.

Get into the flow of life and do the things that feel good to you:

  • Read a book
  • Write a poem
  • Paint a picture

Perfect timing…

Fall is the perfect time to start an exercise routine like walking or jogging.  The leaves on the trees are beautiful and the rest of the scenery is so crisp, green and refreshing.

Time passes by so quickly while you are out in nature, you will have covered a couple of miles before you even know it.

It may help to take a friend along to have someone to talk to or a music device to listen to something uplifting or peaceful as you walk along.  Playing your favorite music is a great way to enjoy the time as you briskly stroll along the trail.

I wouldn’t suggest texting because it might be too easy to trip on something and fall down.  There may be unforeseen obstacles in the path that you are unaware of until it is a little too late and you are flat on the ground.

Don’t forget to take a water bottle along with you so that you can stay hydrated and healthy.  Good hydration is a key thing to remember when starting a new exercise routine.  Staying hydrated helps keep your muscles from being over stressed and cramping up on you while you tone them up.  Taking a little bit more of the supplement magnesium may be helpful too, especially if you are prone to leg cramps or “charlie horses”.

And don’t forget a few healthy snacks like nuts or something else, including protein bars, in case you end up taking longer than you had planned and get hungry or in need of a little nourishment along the way.

Be sure to wear the proper kind of comfortable athletic shoes and loose fitting clothing that is layered in case you get too hot or too cold while you are away from home or your car.  Maybe even a light umbrella just to be prepared.

Give yourself all of the possible benefits you can to keep you going and doing things that are good for your body and health.

You will feel blessed in so many ways by getting out in nature and moving your body while refreshing your mind and soul.  Soon you will feel your energy level increasing and your vitality greatly improved.

Just get started – and then keep on going one step at a time.

It will be worth it!
