Act like you Love yourself…
Eat like you love
yourself.
Move like you love
yourself.
Speak like you love
yourself.
Act like you love
yourself.

Do you really love yourself?
Of coarse you do.
So naturally you are the perfect weight for your height.
You are active in stretching and keeping your body healthy.
You talk about positive things and appreciate everything you have.
And your actions reflect love and only love, every day.
Of coarse you do all of these things – because you do LOVE yourself.
Or maybe there is a little room for improvement in your life.
It is so easy to justify ourselves and do harmful (hateful) things to ourselves
instead of really healthy, loving things.
In fact, harmful things can become such a bad habit that we don’t even realize that we are doing them until something drastic happens and we are shocked into a new reality.
Something like going to a doctor’s appointment where we are weighed. And even though we quickly take off our coat and extra sweater, our weight has increased 10 pounds since our last visit.
Oops.
How did that happen?
Oh, it must be all that spare change in our pockets.
Or maybe those darn winter shoes that are so heavy.
– Extra socks.
I knew I should have worn my tennis shoes today.
So on we go, justifying our extra pounds in various ways.
And we do this with our whole lives – until – something shocks us awake.
And we realize that something’s gotta change.
Okay – now it’s a crash diet.
Let’s just stop eating for a week.
Oh, but I am soo hungry. Maybe just a small chocolate doughnut or two and then I’ll stop eating.
Until lunch time. Oh there it is again. I’m starving.
Yikes…
Now what?
I’d better get some information on weight loss.
Let’s see what Mr. Google has to say about the quickest and easiest way to loose weight.
Five days later…
So much information. Everybody and their dog has written a weight loss book.
So confusing. Which one should I try first?
Vegetarian? Vegan? They are cruelty free, and that sounds so good to me, but I love hamburgers, and steak, and fried chicken.
Hummm…
That could be a problem.
Let’s see what else there is.
Paleo, Weight watchers, South beach, etc, etc,
I looks like they all require special foods and that could be pretty expensive.
Or really expensive.
How about ORGANIC.
Oh yes, that is healthier.
Talk about costing more – wow.
And when you really research the requirements of growing things organically, you find that the ground could have been a nuclear waste land as long as it was chemical free for the last three years. Kinda makes you wonder about how healthy it really is to eat organically grown food.
So what can we do?
The most important thing possible, is to just wake up.
Realize that everyone is trying to sell you something and it it up to you to sort through the garbage until you find the things that really work for you.
Maybe eating a little bit less at each meal.
Maybe lowering your calorie intake a little bit each day.
Maybe going for a walk every day, increasing your steps until you can walk for a mile without wheezing.
It all depends on you…
If you are going to practice the art of SELF LOVE,
you have got to start looking at your self and seeing what needs to change.
