Perfectionism is…

Perfectionism is…

Understanding the difference

between healthy striving and

perfectionism is critical to laying

down the shield and picking up

your life.  Research shows that

perfectionism hampers success.

In fact, it’s often the path to

depression, anxiety, addiction,

and life paralysis.

If you are blessed or cursed

with the trait of perfectionism,

you will have many challenges ahead.

Very few, if any one, is actually able to live a life

where everything is perfect.

So most of us have to learn to cope with what we have.

The better we cope with it,

and the more we appreciate

what we have, the happier we are.

Learning to accept life as it is

and making the best of it while we are

working on what we can do to better ourselves and our life.

Perfectionism is better left behind

as much as possible.

Do’s and don’ts…

Do’s and Don’ts of Happiness

Do appreciate your life.

Don’t compare yourself with others

Do be kind to yourself

Don’t hang on to old hurts

Do act mindfully

Don’t forget your amazingness

Do let go of perfectionism

Don’t catastrophise

Do love the skin you are in

Don’t talk yourself down

Do dance with abandon

Don’t criticize yourself

Do remember why you are here!

These are a lot of do’s and don’ts all meant to enrich your life in one way or another.

If the list is too long for you, why not try to pick out one or two things that resonate with you and implement them to start with.

After you get used to a couple of new things, it’s a good idea to add on a few more until you feel that your life is just the way you want it to be.

Appreciating your life and being mindful of every day.

Loving yourself and the skin you are in.  Being kind and full of energy.

Dancing with abandon and remembering why you are here!

Doing what ever it takes to be filled with

HAPPINESS…

Perfectionism…

Note to self…

PERFECTION.

Trying to be “perfect” is all about living in fear.
Fear of what they’ll think.
Fear of what you’ll think about yourself.
Fear of being judged, or wrong.

The greatest gift you can give yourself today is to let go, even just a little bit, of this need or desire to be “perfect”

Try it. It feels soooo gooooooood……

One other note: Perfectionism can be a huge block to finding financial freedom, because it doesn’t allow us to take the big leaps forward in thinking and action that we need to create a new reality.
