Understanding the difference
between healthy striving and
perfectionism is critical to laying
down the shield and picking up
your life. Research shows that
perfectionism hampers success.
In fact, it’s often the path to
depression, anxiety, addiction,
and life paralysis.
If you are blessed or cursed
with the trait of perfectionism,
you will have many challenges ahead.
Very few, if any one, is actually able to live a life
where everything is perfect.
So most of us have to learn to cope with what we have.
The better we cope with it,
and the more we appreciate
what we have, the happier we are.
Learning to accept life as it is
and making the best of it while we are
working on what we can do to better ourselves and our life.
Perfectionism is better left behind
as much as possible.
