We let go of people…

Sometimes, we let go of people
without even noticing.
You stop thinking about them everyday.
You stop waiting for them to reply to you.
You stop allowing them to take so much space
in your life.
You move on.
You go about your day without worrying
about them.
You stop expecting them to come back with
an apology.
You accept that they are no longer part of
your life.
You just let them go,
as simple as that.

The more you think about someone
or something, the more you activate it in your life.
The trick to letting someone or something go from your life
is to NOT think about it or them any more.
And this may be extremely difficult because
the more you try to NOT think about something,
the more things come to your mind regarding that subject.
So the best thing to do is to just stop worrying about it.
Give yourself plenty of time to overcome this challenge.
Memories and life lessons occur over a period of time
so don’t expect yourself to erase all of those things immediately.
The best thing to do is to be patient with yourself.
Find ways to REPLACE those old memories with new ones.
Replace that old person with a new one.
Add in more friends, more new experiences, more new memories.
After a while you will have so many new things to think about
that the old memories begin to fade away.
And your active part of this process is to let them fade away.
Don’t keep going over the old past stuff, reactivating it
in your mind and conversation
if you really want to let it go.
Another thing to work on is changing your thoughts about the past situation
from a negative place to a neutral place of being.
Instead of going over and over the negative details, just neutralize them into better feeling thoughts.
Remembering that everyone is human and prone to mistakes.
Everyone reacts according to their own inner thoughts, not yours.
Everyone has regrets and wishes to be better understood.
And if nothing else works for you,
you may just have to say to yourself;
- “OH WELL”
- “Whatever”
- “It is what it is”
- “That was then, this is now”
and just keep going.
Make your life the life you want to live.
Let others live their life too,
and if they don’t want to be a healthy, positive part of your life,
move on…
That’s all you can do.
Let them fade away…
It is as simple as that.
