Note to self…
When life is hectic and your are
overwhelmed, and your brain is
like a squirrel darting across a
busy street, remember that all
you ever have to do, at any given
moment, is the next thing. You
can manage that. Also, you should
drink some water. Maybe have
some chocolate or something.
You’re doing fine.
Life can become overwhelming.
Especially when you have a lot of things on your mind.
Your to-do list gets out of hand and your head
is trying to figure out how in the world you are going to get it all done
in the small window of time you have to do it in.
Everything starts jamming together and you can’t even think any more.
Then you get a text from a caring friend that says “Everything will be all right.”
“Just slow down and breathe” she says.
Then you start to function again.
You take a deep breath in and forcefully blow it back out.
You realize that your to-do list is a just a product of your own creation.
And that nothing will actually happen if you DON’T complete everything
you have put on your list.
So why do we do this to ourselves?
Is productivity so important that we cause ourselves undue stress
to force ourselves to do more?
Are we subconsciously trying to be Superman or some other super hero?
And at what costs?
While we are busy and stressing out we also effect our close friends and loved ones.
We actually add unneeded stress to their lives also.
So take a moment to reevaluate your life and rethink your priorities.
Remember what is really important to you and make sure
you add that to the top of your to-do list.
Don’t forget to drink some water and eat your chocolate.
It makes life worth living.
You are doing FINE.
just KEEP GOING…
