Sometimes our little inner flame seems exceedingly dim, or almost to the point of extinction.

But hopefully, there is enough of a spark left to ignite into a flame when properly fueled with the right inspiration.

May it be a kind word, or a kind deed, or even someone else who needs you to share some wisdom to help them along life’s windy paths, and you realize that you are important to other people.

Do whatever it takes to keep your flame growing and shining brightly.

Hold on to them…

Hold on to them…

 

Life is kind of like a party.  You invite

a lot of people – some leave early – some stay

all night – some laugh with you and some laugh

at you – and some show up a little too late.  But

in the end, after the fun, there are a few who

stay behind to help you clean up the mess

(most of the time, they aren’t even the ones

who made the mess).   These people, the ones

still there emptying the middle of the night

trash – these are the true friends, the ones

meant to go the distance.

Hold on to them.

~Higher Perspective

So many people – so little time…

Follow your heart and just

be happy.

Hold on to the ones who are true to you…

they are few and far between.

My New Year’s Resolutions

Smile

a little bigger.

Laugh

a little louder.

Give

a little more.

Forgive

a little quicker.

Love

a little deeper.

Ride

through life a

little slower.

This is the time of year for New Year’s Resolutions.

Starting a new year with new goals and new ideas about making your life even better.

What will you do different this year?

Many people make lists of resolutions and then end up doing the some old things year after year without so much as a slight change.  I guess it feels good to go along with the crowd and at least set some new goals.

I think it is even better when you can look back on the past year knowing you did your best and you progressed in your goals in spite of set backs and diversities.

Make a list of what you accomplished last year.  That will give you a realistic place to start your goals and challenges for this new year to come.

Success…

 

If I make

We can try so hard,
and have so many lists
that we can never actually do everything on them.
We can spend so much time planning and setting goals,
when all we have to do is LIVE,
and let our life flow in the down stream direction.
Smiling and laughing all the way.
Taking those with us that want to go along
and share the ride with us.
That doesn’t mean that there isn’t a time for planning and setting goals,
it just means –
don’t forget to LIVE while dreaming and goal setting.
Be conscious of your time
and make sure that you are actually having the best life you can have – NOW.
Be open to those around you.
It doesn’t take a lot to make someone else happy either –
sometimes a smile or a hug means so much more
than anything money can buy.

The ocean…

Heaven seems a little closer

when you are near

the ocean.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Many people choose to go to the ocean shore to renew and revitalize themselves.

There is something so refreshing about the fresh ocean air and the calming repetition of the incoming waves of blue.  Not to mention the soothing sound of the gentle waves washing in to the nearby sand.

This is often a place to think things out and regroup from your daily routine.

Taking time to refresh with the breezy atmosphere, enjoying the occasional sea gull who carelessly passes above you.

It’s also a great place to catch up on a little reading, or writing if you feel inspired to do so.
