I have been practicing this and it is amazing how awesome it works.
The trick, I think, is to change or at least quiet your negative thoughts so that you come from a positive place of well being.
If you stop thinking about negative things, you won’t have anything to complain about.
When something comes up and I find myself playing a negative loop over in my mind –
as soon as I realize it – I stop and change to a better feeling thought.
I actually say to myself – Oh I really don’t want to think about that any more,
and I really don’t want any more of “that” to come about in my life.
So if I don’t want to think about certain things, and I don’t want more of it in my life –
I am definitely NOT going to talk about it (or complain about it)
Because what you dwell on – or focus on – does become more
prominent in your life.
AND – the more aware you are of what you really do want in your life, the easier it is to focus and draw more of it to you.
And if you don’t want negative things, or things you are complaining about, to increase –
then you have to stop complaining about them and let them go.
