Don’t sit on the couch

and wait for it.

what you’ve been cluttering.

Unfollow negative people on

social media. Go to bed early.

Wake up early. Be fierce.

Don’t gossip. Show more

gratitude. Do things that

challenge you. Be brave.

Share your light…

 

At times our own

light goes out and is

rekindled by a spark from

another person.

Each one of us has cause

to think deep gratitude

 of those who have lighted

the flame within us.

It is so important to know

that you have a great worth.

 

Your light shines out to others

whether you are feeling it or not.

 

The loving being that you are

helps others just because you are you.

 

All the time and effort you have put into

learning and caring for others is not wasted.

 

It is cherished by so many.

 

Keep shining your light bright and beautiful.

 

And when you need a little cheering up –

look to someone else who has their light shining

a little bit brighter right now,

and let them light your way

until you are able to SHINE brightly again.

The path to empowerment…

 

The path to the empowered Heart

Healing is simple, but it is not easy.  The steps are few, yet they demand great effort.

Step 1.  Commit yourself to healing all the way to the source of the pain.  This means turning inward and coming to know your wounds.

Step 2.  Once “inside,” identify your wounds.

Step 3.  Once you have verbalized your wounds, observe how you use them to influence or even control the people around you as well as yourself.

Step 4.  Identify the good that can and has come from your wounds.  Start living within the consciousness of appreciation and gratitude, and if you have to – “fake it until you make it.”

Step 5.  Once you have established a consciousness of appreciation, you can take on the challenge of forgiveness.

Step 6.  Think Love.  Live in appreciation and gratitude.  Invite change into your life, if only through your attitude.

What’s in your cup?

What’s in your cup?


You are holding a cup of coffee when someone

comes along and bumps into you, making you

spill your coffee everywhere.  Why did you spill

the coffee?   You spilled the coffee because there

was coffee in your cup.  Had there been tea in

the cup, you would have spilled tea.  The point is

whatever is inside the cup, is what will spill out.

Therefore, when life comes along and shakes

you (which will happen), whatever is inside you

will come out.  It’s easy to fake it, until you get

rattled.  So, we have to ask ourselves, “What’s in

my cup?”  When life gets tough, what spills out?

Joy, gratefulness, peace and humility? Or does

anger, bitterness, harsh words and reactions

come out? You choose!  Today let’s work

towards filling our cups with gratitude,

forgiveness, joy, words of affirmation, kindness,

gentleness and love for others.

This is so true.

 

We may think that we are all peaceful and harmonious

until a bunch of things come up that rattle us to the very core of our being.

 

And then we react in odd ways.

 

We may end up arguing with someone or talking about them behind their back,

trying to explain and understand what is going on.

 

We may engage others to be on our side when we feel unjustified.

 

And what we are really doing is adding up some ammo to get back at what someone else is doing to us.

 

But what we really need to do is acknowledge that we are not perfect.

We need to quiet our mind and let our vibration rise up until we

think “up” to where we really want to be.

 

And then we have a readiness to receive, rather than listening to someone else.

 

When we become open, and ready, we receive a thought from source.

We find our own power and connect with it.

And then we are full of what we really want to be.

 

And we can actually pour out that which we want to pour out,

not some old junk that is stale and hostilely contained inside us

filling us with discord and defiance.

 

We must choose daily what we want to pour out.

 

And often times we don’t even know that we have so much junk

residing in our inner being until pressure is added to the point of boiling over

and something pours out that surprises us.

Do your part…

Do your part…


She felt like doing her part to change the

world, so she started by giving thanks for all the blessings in her life, rather than

bemoaning all that was missing from it.

Then she complimented her reflection in the mirror,

instead of criticizing it as she usually did.

Next she walked into her neighborhood and offered her smile to everyone she passed,

whether or not they offered theirs to her.

Each day she did these things, and soon they became a habit.  Each day she lived with more gratitude, more acceptance, more kindness.

And sure enough, the world around her began to change.  Because she had decided so, she was single-handedly doing her part to change it.

Sometimes we are just not where we want to be in life or not where we think we should be. Whether it is because of our age, or our advanced education, or station in life, it becomes easier to complain about all the things that are going wrong instead of what is going right.

And honestly, if that is what you are doing, you will keep getting more to complain about.

If you realize that you are a complainer – you can change yourself. In fact, you have to change what you are thinking about and speaking about in order to change the outcomes you are experiencing.

We are trained from a young age to seek out people who resonate with us.  Some one who understands us and what we are going through.  A soul mate – or a life partner. And while it is good to have people who seemingly understand you, if you are determined to live a life of complaint, you will keep getting more to complain about.

Things will never get better until you can be thankful and grateful for what you have right now,

changing your perspective to that of appreciation.  There is always something to  appreciate.

 

If you are breathing (and I assume you are) you can start there.  Many have difficulty even breathing.

What else can you appreciate?

Do you have:

  • children
  • clothes to wear
  • food
  • something to eat with
  • something to drink
  • a car to drive
  • a drivers license
  • friends
  • a house to live in
  • shoes
  • a phone
  • a computer
  • pets
  • television
  • music
  • a bed
  • blankets
  • etc.

If you start being thankful and grateful for what you have, more will come.  It may take a while to change your habits to positive ones, but if you really do want a better outcome in life, you have to put the effort into having an attitude of appreciation instead of complaint.

There is no way around it.

You get what you think about in life.

 

So if you want to do your part in changing the world,

start with a smile and see where that SMILE

can take you…

Christmas
end a quarrel.
Seek out a forgotten
friend.  Dismiss suspicion,
and replace it with trust.
Write a love letter.  Share some
treasure.  Give a soft answer.

Keep a promise.  Find the time. Forgo a grudge.

Forgive an enemy.  Listen. Apologize if you were wrong.  Try to understand.  Examine your demands on others.  Think first of someone else.  Be kind; be gentle. Appreciate.  Laugh a little.  Laugh a little more.  Express your gratitude.  Gladden the heart of a child.  Welcome a stranger.  Take pleasure in the beauty and the wonder of Earth.

Speak your love.

Speak it again.

Speak it yet

Once again.
