The way you respond…

The way you respond…

 

When you can’t control

what’s happening,

challenge yourself to

control the way you

respond to what’s 

happening.  That’s

where the power is.

~Absolutely Positive

Sometimes the hardest thing

in the world to do

is to walk away

from things that you can’t control.

 

For example, when a conversation with a loved one

is going wrong

and you keep trying to make a point

and they can’t hear you because

they are trying to make their own point.

 

You are out of control.

They are out of control.

 

No one can hear you.

 

So if you can just take into consideration that

this is just one moment in time,

and you will have more chances to explain yourself,

things can work out later,

after the other person has time to calm down.

 

Respond with love, and respect for yourself 

while you give the other person the time they need to

consider their own perspective and choices.

 

So much of life is like this.

One moment at a time.

One breath at a time.

One smile at a time.

 

Just be sure that you are controlling yourself,

and you are bringing about

what you want in your own life.

 

That’s where the real power is.

 

Within YOU

not anyone else.

Today’s to do list…

Today’s to do list…

  1. Practice kindness
  2. Let go of what I can’t control
  3. Count my blessings
  4. Listen to my Higher Self
  5. Install calmness around me
  6. Share my light with others
  7. Pass this on to encourage someone else.

This is an inspirational list of things to aspire to

today

  and

every day.

Just start at the top and think about the first thing on the list.

 

     1. Practice kindness.

It takes practice to be kind in every situation.

It is much easier to just walk away from things that strike you in an opposing way or

people who are reacting with anger or being mean to you.

The kinder you are, the more kindness you will attract to your own life.

 

     2. Let go of what I can’t control

Let go of all of those things that aren’t under your control.

Don’t worry or fret about those things.

Just let them be and go on living your life of peace and joy.

 

     3. Count my blessings

We all have so many blessings every day.

If you take time to look for them and acknowledge them they will continue to grow.

 

      4. Listen to my Higher Self

Your inner being is your higher self.

When you are able to hear your inner being and listen to the truth of what it says to you, things become clear in your life.  You need to learn to trust it and listen to it always.

 

     5. Install calmness around me

Look for ways to install and allow calmness around you in all ways.

Take time to find things that calm your mind and bring you peace.

Whether it be soft relaxing music, things you can read, or pictures that bring you a feeling of peace and harmony.

Turn off the TV and just take a walk in nature, enjoying what you find along your path.

If you can’t go outside, maybe you can find a fountain to turn on that has a relaxing sound of water flowing gently from it.

 

     6. Share my light with others

Once you get it all together and find the light within, you need to share it with others.

Don’t be shy about being the light in someone else’s life.

They may really need to see you shine so that it can ignite their own light and encourage them to be their best enlightened self, following your lead.

 

     7. Pass this on to encourage someone else.

This is a great list to pass on to someone else.

It may be just the thing that pulls it all together for them and helps them get their life together.

Be the motivator for yourself first,

and then share it with someone else.

 

Make your life the BEST it can be…

Choose to be happy…

Choose to be happy…


You have a CHOICE

each and every single day.

I CHOOSE to feel BLESSED.

I CHOOSE to feel GRATEFUL.

I CHOOSE to be EXCITED.

I CHOOSE to be THANKFUL.

I CHOOSE to be HAPPY.

Life is filled with many choices every day.

If you want to feel your best, you have to make the “BEST” choices available to you.

Keep your head up and no matter what appears to be going on outside of you, you can still be happy on the inside.

No matter how much money you have, or don’t have, you can still feel the essence of satisfaction in this very moment in time.

It is definitely a CHOICE.

And you often have to CHOOSE to feel positive emotions over negative ones.

 

For example, if someone has just called you and left a sick message on your phone, you can either get all upset over what they said, or you can just realize that what someone else says, really doesn’t have to resonate with you at all.

It is their opinion, their stuff, their attitude, etc.   The only way it can effect you is if you let it – by buying into what they said some how, by feeling an emotion tied to what they said or expressing a thought in response to their “stuff”.

You may think this is a cold, uncaring attitude, but really it is just practicing control over your own life rather that letting someone else control you.

The way you respond to others is YOUR business.

I CHOOSE to be as blessed, grateful, excited, thankful, and happy as I can be…

 

And occasionally i just have to say OH WELL, or WHAT EVER, to what someone else says,

Because I am willing to let other people choose to respond to life in any way they want to.

 

I can truthfully tell you, however, that the more you practice thinking and acting in positive ways, the more positive your life becomes, and the more positive people and things come into your life.

 

In other words – It just keeps getting better and better as you practice better and better thinking.

What you think about expands.

12 Steps for Self Care

  1.  If it feels wrong, don’t do it.

  2.  Say “exactly” what you mean.

  3. Don’t be a people pleaser.

  4. Trust your instincts.

  5. Never speak bad about yourself.

  6. Never give up on your dreams.

  7. Don’t be afraid to say “No”.

  8. Don’t be afraid to say “Yes”.

  9. Be KIND to yourself.

  10. Let go of what you can’t control.

  11. Stay away from drama and negativity.
