Holding on to anger effects you – not the person you are angry at.

In fact, many times people do hurtful things to others and never even look back to see the damage they have done.

They are on to their next mark and are not concerned what they did to you.

So think about the anger you are holding on to and try to let it go as soon as possible.

Peace and harmony are much better feelings to focus on, and practicing feeling positive feelings make it easier to forget those who hurt you in the past.

Life is short,

live it.

What’s in your cup?

What’s in your cup?


You are holding a cup of coffee when someone

comes along and bumps into you, making you

spill your coffee everywhere.  Why did you spill

the coffee?   You spilled the coffee because there

was coffee in your cup.  Had there been tea in

the cup, you would have spilled tea.  The point is

whatever is inside the cup, is what will spill out.

Therefore, when life comes along and shakes

you (which will happen), whatever is inside you

will come out.  It’s easy to fake it, until you get

rattled.  So, we have to ask ourselves, “What’s in

my cup?”  When life gets tough, what spills out?

Joy, gratefulness, peace and humility? Or does

anger, bitterness, harsh words and reactions

come out? You choose!  Today let’s work

towards filling our cups with gratitude,

forgiveness, joy, words of affirmation, kindness,

gentleness and love for others.

This is so true.

 

We may think that we are all peaceful and harmonious

until a bunch of things come up that rattle us to the very core of our being.

 

And then we react in odd ways.

 

We may end up arguing with someone or talking about them behind their back,

trying to explain and understand what is going on.

 

We may engage others to be on our side when we feel unjustified.

 

And what we are really doing is adding up some ammo to get back at what someone else is doing to us.

 

But what we really need to do is acknowledge that we are not perfect.

We need to quiet our mind and let our vibration rise up until we

think “up” to where we really want to be.

 

And then we have a readiness to receive, rather than listening to someone else.

 

When we become open, and ready, we receive a thought from source.

We find our own power and connect with it.

And then we are full of what we really want to be.

 

And we can actually pour out that which we want to pour out,

not some old junk that is stale and hostilely contained inside us

filling us with discord and defiance.

 

We must choose daily what we want to pour out.

 

And often times we don’t even know that we have so much junk

residing in our inner being until pressure is added to the point of boiling over

and something pours out that surprises us.

Whatever you desire for yourself, affirm

Break the chain…

Break the chain…

 

Hurt people hurt people.

That’s how pain patterns

get passed on, generation

after generation.  Break the chain

today.  Meet anger with

sympathy, contempt with

compassion, cruelty with

kindness.  Greet grimaces

with smiles.  Forgive and

forget about finding fault.

Love is the weapon of the 

future.

We are all shaped by our past experiences.

Our childhood has such an impact on us because those who were more powerful had control over us.

They enforced their thoughts and rules upon us whether they were fair to us or not.

  • They sometimes got angry and we were their target.
  • They sometimes got mean and we were their target.
  • They sometimes got cruel and we were their target.

 

In other words, they weren’t perfect at all.

They passed on the things that their parents and authority figures taught them.

They felt that they were in control and that they were responsible for you and your actions.

So they did the same things that others had done to them.  Perhaps they even added a little more enforcement to make sure that you would remember the “lesson”.

 

It takes looking at the past with new eyes of understanding to see what they may have intended for us.

To see that they were faulted and frail, human and hurt, themselves.

So they did the best they could at the time, and the fact that we ended up with less than a completely loving, enlightened parent was just a result of their past.

And that doesn’t justify the way we were treated, it doesn’t undo the hurt we felt.

It doesn’t justify unfair behavior at all.

 

But it does give us new choices as we learn to understand the position they were in at the time.

That we have the option of letting the past go and living a better feeling life

                 ~ right now ~

 

Of thinking about what we can do to treat others better in our life.

Of thinking about how we can treat others better every day.

Of thinking about why we want to treat others better in our life.

 

Breaking the chain of the past pain patterns.

 

Replacing the old way of thinking and doing

with new ways of expressing Sympathy and Compassion,

Kindness and Love.

 

Letting LOVE be the weapon of the future.

Replacing old patterns with new ones.

Ones that serve you and allow you to forget the past and everything bad that has happened to you

and live with peace, harmony and freedom today.
